Joseph T. Robbins serves as Chief Executive Officer and President of Alevio Spine, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama. Joe received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a triple minor in English, Psychology, and Business Administration from the University of Alabama in Winter of 1980. Joe was also a member of the University’s football team under Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant.
With over 30 years of experience, Joe began his career as a Sales Representative for NL Atlas Bradford. Later, Joe was promoted to Regional Sales Director for Seal-Tech, and eventually worked his way up to being named North American Sales Manager.
In 1985, Joe decided to start his own company in the landscaping business; which grew to being the fifth largest in the state of Florida. After many years in landscaping, Joe accepted a position with a medical device company, Frontier Devices that provided him with many new opportunities. Because of his entrepreneurial abilities and boundless determination, Joe decided to start his own company, Alevio Spine, LLC. Joe’s industry expertise and knowledge throughout his career, Joe has been able to use his talents to build a competitive cultural environment, as well as drive growth and innovation within the company.
Executive Vice President
Kenneth “Rob” Roberts serves as Vice President of Alevio Spine, LLC, in Birmingham, Alabama. Rob received his Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising with a double minor in Finance and English from the University of Alabama in spring of 1985. Rob was a member of the University’s football team, and was named Outstanding ROTC Athlete from 1982-1983. Upon graduating, Rob began his professional career as sales representative for companies such as, Integrated Medical Systems, Johnson & Johnson, and Medtronic. Mr. Roberts, with his drive for success was recognized in 2000, when he was named Wright Medical Distributor of the Year. Rob is the former CEO of Custom Pharmacy Solutions, as well as the former CEO of Precision RX. Since being named Vice President of Alevio Spine, LLC, Rob has been able to grow the company with his remarkable work ethic, and his ceaseless pursuit for success.
Chief Operating Officer
Eric Linder is an established industry leader with more than 20 years’ experience in medical device engineering, project management, quality control and regulatory compliance. He received his BSE, summa cum laude, in biomedical engineering and an MBA from Arizona State University. Prior to joining Alevio, Eric held executive-level management positions for medical device companies in several industries including orthopedics, pain management, and patient monitoring.
Chief Financial Officer
Les Mims serves as Chief Financial Officer of Alevio Spine, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama. Les received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama in December, 1992. Les is a Certified Public Accountant and has more than 25 years of experience in both public and private accounting. Les began his career working with CPA firms such as Aldridge, Borden & Company and Price Waterhouse Coopers. Les is the former CFO of Medaus Pharmacy, as well as the former CFO of Vision Security Technologies. Les has worked in the compounding pharmacy, banking, property management, and construction industries, as well as entrepreneurial start-up companies. . Les is a member of Mountain Brook Community Church, is an avid sports fan, and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and fishing.
Joseph Burkett serves as Area Manager for Alevio Spine, LLC. Joseph is a native of Warrior, Alabama and has worked in and around the Birmingham area for the past several years. He graduated from Bevill State, earning a degree in Applied Science with a focus on Surgical Technology and also served in the United States Navy for over 12 years.
With over 15 years of experience, Joseph began his career as an Associate Sales Representative for Medtronic, where he was able to develop his skills in product insight. In 2014, Joseph accepted a job as Territory Manager for Zimmer Spine, which allowed him to develop and maintain relationships with physicians as well as operating room staff. In 2015, Joseph joined the team at Alevio Spine, LLC as a Sales Representative, where he has been able to provide the company with inventive and resourceful strategies. Joseph’s vast determination and extensive product knowledge has allowed him to be indispensable within the growth of the company.
Vice President Sales/West Coast
Candace Woods is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and attended Faulkner University at Birmingham for 2 years, and then studied at University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received a dental hygiene degree. Candace worked in the dental industry for over 23 years as a dental hygienist and patient and insurance coordinator.
In April 2016, Candace wanted to broaden her experience in the medical industry, and came to Alevio Spine to join the team here as an Account Manager. Candace dedicates most of her days getting hospital approvals and working with sales distributors throughout the United States.
Rich Manry is from Flomaton, Alabama and graduated from Auburn University. Rich received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and also was part of Auburn’s football organization as a three-year letterman playing for Coach Pat Dye.
Rich has been in the medical device industry for over 25 years. Rich has formerly worked at Medtronic (formerly Kyphon) and in 2002, Rich introduced Balloon Kyphoplasty to the state of Alabama and panhandle of Florida. Rich also spent 2.5 years with Cardiovascular Systems Inc., in the endovascular space prior to coming to Alevio Spine in February, 2017.
Sales Operations Manager
Maria Strino is a native of Chicagoland, joined Alevio Spine in August, 2017 as Sales Operations Manager. She has over 25 years experience in administration, sales operations, CRM analytics, project management, and accounting. Prior to joining Alevio Spine, Maria held positions at Amendia, SI-BONE, Medtronic and Kyphon where she gained experience in the medical device industry including: sales, operations, administration, legal, compliance, marketing and medical affairs. Maria studied Accounting and Finance at the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, IL and is certified in Microsoft and Salesforce.com administration.
Customer Service Specialist
Leanna Pettis provides administrative support to the whole team at Alevio Spine. Leanna, a native of Camden, Alabama has lived and worked in Birmingham for the past three years. In 2014, Leanna graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s degree in English and a minor in Psychology. While in school, Leanna worked for Tuscaloosa Title Company, where she was able to develop her customer service / administrative skills. Leanna is responsible for inventory management, shipping and receiving, as well as any additional administrative functions as required.
